Stormy weather...

well, at least it's not like walking into a wall of humidity, like new orleans.

brad and i left on thursday for the official mardi gras town. got in at around 11 pm. crashed. woke early to a room service breakfast (most expensive breakfast ever). walked down royal st and up bourbon st. came back to hotel to decide what to do. went to aquarium. decent. they were showing harry potter III on imax. so tempting, but we passed. walked to french market, had some good traditional lunch at a cute cafe. walked back to hotel and got ready for dinner. ate at brennen's. mmmmm. went to bourbon st afterwards and earned some beads. got hurricanes at pat o'brians. cooled off at a strip club...very fun and interesting.

saturday went to zoo...very nice zoo. had lunch with annemarie at a cute little italian restaurant. rested, then went to dinner on a paddleboat. food was mediocre, but boat trip was nice. went back to bourbon st and earned lots more beads. got hand granades. went to another strip club...much better than the first.

flew back on sunday. all in all, a fun trip. need to go back and go shopping at the riverwalk. :)
