mummies and interviews and stuff

so, brad and i saw the egyptian exhibit today...didn't expect it to cost extra. but it was worth it. very cool stuff there...and an audio tour narated by jeremy irons (jeremy's iron?) i was surprised they used greywacke for a lot of sculptures, since it's usually a soft sedimentary rock. must have been superglued by silica, or slightly metamorphosed (which would mean, it was superglued by silica...um, yeah). and the giant granite sculptures! they were huge...and granite's a tough, heavy rock. i'd hate to have been one of the poor souls responsible for moving one of those guys. lots of gold stuff...and lapis...and limestone. a geologists heaven, as well as an egyptologist's.

one more interview to go on tuesday. and another one last tuesday which went excellent...strong possibility i'll be hearing from them again. first interview was only meh. we'll see how #3 goes. oh, and i have an interview for a summer job at maurice's coming up. still think i'll hear from new york and co. as well. i also got a couple applications for the museum...could be an assistant educator this summer. we'll see.
