settling in...

so we're in and most of the boxes are unpacked and their contents are mostly put in their correct places. i think the kitchen was the first room officially completed. everything else is still being worked on. but the empty box pile is growing! yay! the cats are moved in and isis has been perking up a bit, which is good. she became a bit depressed when we got athena. now she can explore all tne nooks and crannies of the new place. i think athena even gave her lessons on how to open cabinets. speaking of the devil, athena is just as bad as ever, but you can't help at her ignorant happy-go-lucky attitude about all the naughty things she does. persistently curious.

we've bought only a few new things, mostly to replace old things. a new bookshelf which was only $25 at kmart now houses our stereo and star wars legos collection. i bought a wireless keyboard and mouse cause i'm absolutely sick of all the cords associated with a computer. my computer speakers finally crapped out, but luckily i had the original ones that came with the computer. so, they are decent until i have enough money to get nice replacements. oh, and i bought giant pencil cups for the infinite supply of writing utensils that i own. i promise...no more buying of pens or pencils until, well, until something really cool comes along.

other random thoughts...

the accident lawyer add on tv that says "we don't expect accidents to happen..." um, sure you don't. that's why you're accident lawyers.

i spilled superglue on the pants i'm wearing. it was fun trying to unstick them from my flesh. at least it was just a little spot.

brad has new pillows to replace the ones he's had since...maybe high school? can't imagine what's growing in them. eww...
